We are seeking an analyst for a tenure-track position. Candidates must have completed a doctorate in mathematics by the starting date and must show promise
in research and a serious commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. It is expected that the new faculty member be able to teach core courses in the
mathematics major, to supervise senior theses, and to contribute to the graduate analysis component in our graduate program. We welcome candidates with an applied
focus.

The School of Mathematics at Trinity College, Dublin, invites applications for the Erasmus Smiths Chair of Mathematics (1762). The successful candidate will be expected to undertake research and enhance the research culture in the School by attracting research students and funding, and will be expected to play a central role in helping to link the School to other areas both within and outside of College. The Erasmus Smiths Chair has traditionally been the Chair of Pure Mathematics, and on this occasion the College is seeking applications from candidates with a distinguished internationally recognised record of achievement in research in any area of pure mathematics, and a proven ability to undertake a leadership role within the School.
It is intended that the appointment will take effect from September 2011 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

Subject to availability of resources and administrative approval, the Department of Mathematics solicits applications for non-tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning Fall 2011.
The J.J. Sylvester Assistant Professorship is a three-year position offered to recent Ph.D.’s with outstanding research potential. Candidates in all areas of pure mathematics, including analysis, mathematical physics, geometric analysis, complex and algebraic geometry, number theory, and topology are encouraged to apply. The teaching load is three courses per academic year.
